Andy Dalton’s injury was among the many for quarterbacks playing in the noon slate game games. And that’s was naturally going to lead to questions about the future.
Questions Matt Nagy had no interest in answering in the aftermath of Sunday‘s game:
Matt Nagy when asked if Andy Dalton is still the starter if he's healthy:
"I'm not going to get into any of that."

Ah, yes, let the drama begin.
The will they or won’t they cat-and-mouse game will be annoying. But it’s tough to imagine Dalton being 100 percent healthy and mobile after leaving that game with a leg injury. And wouldn’t that be a hindrance if he couldn’t be a full go? For what it’s worth, Nagy sounded like someone comfortable with rolling with Justin Fields filling in as a starter if necessary while discussing things during his postgame press conference. Not that it should be surprising. Otherwise, Nagy would’ve never put Fields in a spot to be in this situation in the first place.
In any case, the Bears’ QB quandary just got more interesting.
