From this point forward, I won’t refer to the Chicago Bears’ quarterback quandary as a “QB controversy.”
Because when you have a teammate like this, there is no controversy:

On the same afternoon in which he went down with a knee injury serious enough to take him out of action – and possibly put him out for weeks – Dalton was rooting on Justin Fields like he was one of the 60,000+ people in attendance at Soldier Field. You’ve gotta love seeing that.
No matter how the transition of QB power looks like between Dalton and Fields, it is comforting to know it won’t fail because one holds public animosity toward the other. It’s a 31-second clip. And I don’t want to draw too much from it, but it’s something I want to play on loop over and over again. Because while we can discuss X’s and O’s ’til we’re blue in the face, there’s so much value in the intangibles of being a good teammate. Way to bring the positive vibes, Andy. Keep it coming, please.
