That Friday injury report feeling is back.
And if you know, you know. So without further to do, here we go:

We’re one step closer to Eddie Goldman making his 2021 debut with the big nose tackle practicing on consecutive days. But we srwntnout of the woods just yet. Sure, he didn’t participate on Friday, but this feels like a step in the right direction. Maybe this is one of those things like with Bilal Nichols last year, where he wouldn’t practice on certain days for maintenance purposes. In any case, we will know more about his situation when the team announces whether Goldman travels with the team or not.
Another positive development is Akiem Hicks being a full participant in Friday’s practice. An illness kept Hicks off the field earlier in the week, but he must feel better now to participate on Friday. Getting both Hicks and Goldman would be great. But having one available on Sunday would be nice a start.
The least positive development is the trending direction of Tashaun Gipson Sr., who is now doubtful to play on Sunday. Chicago’s other starting safety has been dealing with a bothersome hamstring that has kept him out of the last two practices. If he can’t go, I imagine Deon Bush and DeAndre Houston-Carson are next in line.
All in all, things could be worse. Just get me to Sunday.
