While we watch the absolute crime of Matt Nagy’s inept play-calling in the Bears game, we can only gain some football satisfaction in wild plays elsewhere, and this one is an early contender for the wonkiest play of the the season.

After some lucky bounces, Washington Football Team’s kicker Dustin Hopkins actually recovered his own kickoff deep in Buffalo territory!
Washington turned the Hopkins recovery into a touchdown when Taylor Heinicke scrambled right for four yards and a touchdown. Washington trails Buffalo by a touchdown in the second quarter, but they’ve already generated more excitement than an entire half of Bears versus Browns.
I’m feeling things right now, and they’re not good feelings.
