Bears Head Coach Matt Nagy made a reference to quarterback Justin Fields possibly having a dinged up right hand during the offense’s final drive in last Sunday’s loss to the Browns. And while he also said earlier today that he was expecting Fields and Andy Dalton to practice in some capacity on Wednesday, it is the “in some capacity” that is doing a ton of heavy lifting.
Fields did reportedly practice in full today (more on that and the rest of the injury report coming up), but he did so with a brace on his hand:

I’m not a doctor, but wearing a brace that looks designed to protect a player’s wrist/thumb isn’t encouraging to see. Especially not when the team’s other candidate to start, Andy Dalton, is still dealing with a knee injury that could keep him out on a week-to-week basis.
Again, Fields did reportedly practice in full, but that’s not exactly something you want to see. We’ll have more for you on the full injury report in a few minutes.
