UPDATE (11:36 a.m. CT) — Tyreek Hill is going to the Dolphins
Chiefs are trading six-time Pro-Bowl WR Tyreek Hill to the Miami Dolphins for five draft picks: a 2022 1st-round pick (No. 29), a 2nd-round pick (No. 50) and a 4th-round pick, as well as 4th- and 6th-round picks in the 2023 draft, sources tell ESPN.

Now *THAT* is a blockbuster. A total of five picks are switching hands, with Hill taking his talents to South Beach for what Schefter reports will be a market-setting new contract making him the league’s highest-paid receiver. You had a good run, Davante Adams.
Our original post is as follows…
Tyreek Hill has put up some gaudy numbers while catching passes from Patrick Mahomes in Kansas City.
But how much longer will that be the case?
Hill and the Chiefs have been trying to iron out a contract extension this offseason, but talks appear to have hit a snag. So much so, that NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport reports the Chiefs have given Hill’s representation permission to find a trade partner that will give him what he wants, and Adam Shefter adds specific teams are already in the mix:
Another blockbuster coming? Despite an offer from the #Chiefs that would make superstar Tyreek Hill one of the highest-paid receivers, extension talks have stalled and Kansas City has now given Hill’s agent permission to seek a trade, sources tell me and @TomPelissero.

Jets and Dolphins are in serious talks to trade for Chiefs’ WR Tyreek Hill, per league sources. Hill and Chiefs are mulling what to do but Hill’s time in KC looks like it could be coming to an end.

(That one sound like a leak designed to get the Dolphins or Jets (or some other suitor, I suppose) to up their offer to seal the deal, anyone?)
Wow. An already topsy-turvy offseason that has been wild with player movement could get even wilder with a Hill trade. Hill, 28, has been a Pro Bowler in each of his six seasons as a pro. He has three first-team All-Pro nods under his belt. And four seasons with at least 1,100 receiving yards. Hill is a superstar receiver. The kind teams dream of landing. And, apparently, he’ll soon become available if the price is right.
Maybe this is just posturing from a negotiation standpoint. Remember when the Bears reportedly gave Akiem Hicks permission to find a trade partner last offseason? Or maybe Hill saw what Davante Adams did in leveraging a trade to get himself a fat payday, and the Chiefs saw the opportunity for a huge trade return. In any case, it is just the latest potential landscape-shifting deal on the NFL’s horizon. Stay tuned.
UPDATE (11:03 a.m.) — And then there were two:
Sources: Jets and Dolphins both now have trades in place for the soon-to-be former Chiefs’ WR Tyreek Hill. The question now becomes where Hill wants to become the highest-paid WR in NFL history. Once he decides, the trade is expected to happen; for now, Hill is said to be “torn.”
