Admittedly, it’s just rookie minicamp, but having one successful practice in the can *FEELS* good.
Football is coming. It’ll take a bit before we get into the full swing of things, but the good stuff is on its way past the horizon. In the meantime, the rookies are making things officially official:

As you can see above, Bears draft picks have put pen to paper and signed their rookie contracts.
Offensive linemen Braxton Jones, Doug Kramer, and Ja’Tyre Carter are IN. So are defensive lineman Dominique Robinson, safety Elijah Hicks, and running back Trestan Ebner. Even punter Trenton Gill is ready to roll.
This leaves four Bears rookie draft picks who have yet to sign. Neither of their second-rounders — cornerback Kyler Gordon or safety Jaquan Brisker — have signed their first contracts to make things officially official. Third-round receiver Velus Jones Jr. hasn’t put his name on the dotted line either. Same for sixth-round offensive lineman Zachary Thomas. But there is nothing to worry about here. It’s all a formality at this point.
What matters most is that everyone is around for the first-year player orientation that is Day 1 of rookie minicamp. In due time, everyone will be locked in, signed, and members of the Bears. It’s an exciting time for them — and will soon be for us once we finally get to see these players suit up for games starting in the preseason.
