The description for this video is not an oversell. It really is one of the most incredible game-winning plays you’ll ever see. Heck, it’s just straight up one of the craziest football plays you’ll ever see.
Enjoy it. When a friend texted this to me, all I could say was that I did NOT see this coming:
Just perfectly executed. I wonder how many times they had to practice it to get the backwards, no-look throw so perfectly-timed with the receiver’s route.
I’m sure there are a bunch of legitimate reasons why you could not pull this off in a higher-level game, but I’d be lying if I said I wouldn’t secretly love to see the Chicago Bears try something like this. Heck, do it in a preseason game!
OK, so which NFL team and/or QB and/or Wildcat QB would be most likely to try this? Could you see Patrick Mahomes pulling it off? The 49ers and Trey Lance or Deebo Samuel? You could imagine defenses keying on the two of them converging in the backfield and letting someone slip out into the secondary.
But you know what? Screw it. I want to see Tom Brady try it. He’s already accomplished everything else.
