Luke Getsy’s star is on the rise.
The first-year Bears offensive coordinator has considerable hype behind him. FMIA’s Peter King sees star potential in Chicago’s play-caller. The Athletic’s Lindsay Jones polled folks throughout the league, who had Getsy landing on the top 40 under 40 among NFL coaches, coordinators, and play-callers. And since every star needs to have a coming-out party, what better time than tonight to have it?
Tonight marks the 205th meeting between the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers. It’s another primetime affair under the lights at Lambeau Field. So, again, I ask, what better time than now for a gargantuan Getsy performance? Call some deep shots. Get Justin Fields on the move. Throw together a balanced attack. Deploy a tandem rushing attack with Khalil Herbert and David Montgomery. Sprinkle in some trickeration. Delve into deception via misdirection. Pull out the bag of tricks. Anything for a win. And everything if it means beating Aaron Rodgers on his home turf.
I’m here in Green Bay. If you see me, say hi. And go Bears!
