Larry Borom Was a Full Go at Friday’s Practice (So Were Eddie Jackson, Kyler Gordon, and Teven Jenkins) (UPDATE)

Chicago Bears

Back-to-back days with positive updates from the injury report to end the week has me looking up to thank some lucky stars.

One day after right guard Teven Jenkins went from limited to full participation at practice, the starting right tackle next to him joined him. Right tackle Larry Borom was a full go at Friday’s practice, which is a most encouraging development. Borom missed last week’s game against the Cowboys due to a concussion, then missed the first two practices of this week. I was gearing up to see Riley Reiff start for a second consecutive game. Instead, it looks like Borom — who has no game day designation on Friday’s injury report update — will return to his starting gig against the Dolphins. Awaiting him on any given number of snaps will be Bradley Chubb, a stud pass rusher Miami just brought in via a trade. So there will be no rest for the weary.

As for the rest of the Bears’ injury report, it is mostly positive:

Not only are Borom and Jenkins seemingly back at full strength, a pair of Bears defensive backs are also looking good to go on Sunday. Safety Eddie Jackson and cornerback Kyler Gordon were full participants during Friday’s practice. Both were upgraded after practicing with limitations earlier in the week. That leaves reserve offensive lineman Ja’Tyre Carter (illness) as questionable to play. All in all, this is pretty much as good as it gets when it comes to the injury report this time of year.

UPDATE — Yet *ANOTHER* offensive lineman is back in the fold for the Bears:

Cody Whitehair has missed the last four games with a knee injury. After a stint on injured reserve, things are lining up for Whitehair to start on Sunday against the Dolphins.
