Justin Fields is Up for the NFL’s Ground Player of the Week Award

Chicago Bears

We’ve never seen a quarterback do what Justin Fields did on Sunday against the Dolphins.

Chicago’s QB1 gained 178 rushing yards (a single-game regular season record for a QB) on 15 carries and scored a touchdown. Those ground yards were highlighted by a dazzling 61-yard touchdown run, which was the longest ever by a Bears quarterback. And, yes, all of that was a set up for me to share it all over again:

I truly can’t get enough of that run. It’ll play on loop in my head over the next six days until Fields hits the Soldier Field turf once again.

In the meantime, Bears fans can run up vote totals and make Fields the FedEx Ground Player of the Week:

Hey, now! It’s a major award. So while it is no substitute for winning the game, Fields deserves some hardware after Sunday’s performance. And Bears fans can do their part to help Fields’ cause as he goes up against some stiff competition. But it’s election season and Chicagoans know a thing or two about stuffing the ballot box. Just saying, this is our time to shine.

If successful, Fields will join teammate Khalil Herbert (who won the award earlier in the year for his Week 3 efforts against the Texans) as Bears players to win the Ground Player of the Week award. And considering how the Bears’ ground game is flying high this season, it would only be right for them to have multiple award winners. But enough from me. What are you waiting for? Go vote!
