The Chicago Bears are down their top two quarterbacks, leaving Nathan Peterman as the last man standing.
No, seriously.
Peterman is set to start today’s game against the New York Jets. Justin Fields (shoulder) was sat down to protect the injury he suffered last week against the Atlanta Falcons. And Trevor Siemian, who was going to start in place of Fields, won’t give it a go because of an oblique issue that popped up in pre-game warmups.
If all else fails, the Bears have one more card they can pull:
My country for the WildBear offense to run all afternoon out in New Jersey.
What else could possibly go wrong?
Actually, don’t answer that…
