We knew the Bears would be short-handed at the receiver position coming into this game.
Heck, some of you would argue they were a few sets of hands short of having a representative receiving corps anyway.
But that is beside the point. And I digress.
Chase Claypool was already ruled out on Friday because of a knee injury that kept him out of practice all week. But at least Head Coach Matt Eberflus inists it isn’t a season-ending injury and believes Claypool will be back. It’s just that he won’t be back today. Claypool is inactive. And so is fellow receiver N’Keal Harry, which comes as a bit of a surprise.
Harry was a full participant in practice all week despite being listed on the injury report with a back injury. The Bears made Harry “questionable” to play in today’s game on Friday’s week-ending injury report. However, as it turns out, Harry is OUT. It is uncertain whether if this is a healthy scratch of Harry’s back isn’t where it needs to be to make him active on game day. In any case, the Bears won’t have a full set of receivers going into this game.
Although, they did make some house-keeping moves that brought up some warm bodies on Saturday:
It’s not much, but it’s not nothing.
Here’s what the entire list of inactives looks like:
We’ll have more for you in Pre-gamin’ later this morning.
