I have rarely met a Taco that didn’t work out for me, but the Bears have apparently found one in Taco Charlton.
The Bears announced on Wednesday afternoon as I’m attempting to prepare dinner that they have waived defensive end Taco Charlton, whom they signed off of the New Orleans Saints practice squad on November 16. Charlton appeared in five games in Chicago, recording just three tackles.
The Bears also announced this afternoon that they had claimed cornerback Michael Ojemudia off waivers from the disaster that is the Denver Broncos. Ojemudia was a third-round pick of the Broncos in 2020 out of Iowa and played in 16 games — starting 11 of them — as a rookie in 2020, recording 62 tackles, six pass breakups, and four forced fumbles.
Ojemudia has played in just five games with the Broncos since his rookie season, appearing in two in 2021 and three this season.
Ojemudia is joined by familiar face Greg Stroman Jr. who was signed to the practice squad earlier today. Stroman Jr. spent the offseason and preseason with the team before being waived on August 30.
Alright, back to my regularly scheduled meatloaf preparation.
