A little bit of good news and a little bit of bad news today. Let’s start with the good news. Teven Jenkins was once again a full participant in Bears practice and as he said to reporters on Wednesday, he plans on playing Sunday against the Lions after dealing with what he called a scary incident during the Bears Week 15 loss to the Eagles.
Cody Whitehair was upgraded from a limited participant to a full participant today as he deals with a knee injury, putting him on track for Sunday’s contest with the Lions. Equanimous St. Brown was a limited participant today as he progresses toward a potential return from a concussion that cost him one game thus far.
Chase Claypool practiced in a limited capacity today after being a non-participant on Wednesday, which is good news for the Bears wide receiver room, which is battling a few injuries right now. One of those wide receivers is Dante Pettis, who hurt his ankle during Wednesday’s practice and was a non-participant today.
I suppose that’s where I should have said that we’re onto the bad news side of things. Oh well, we march on. Linebacker Sterling Weatherford (illness) and offensive lineman Ja’Tyre Carter (back) missed practice today.
