The final Thursday night game of the season has been a bit of a stinker, but it’s always cool to see stuff like a journeyman player getting his first start and his first touchdown.
Josh Dobbs was signed off of the Lions practice squad a week ago by the Tennessee Titans, and he’s starting for the Tennessee Titans tonight, his first NFL game since 2020. Six seasons after the Pittsburgh Steelers drafted him in the fourth round of the NFL Draft, Dobbs has NFL touchdown No. 1.
Dobbs, starting in place of Ryan Tannehill — who was placed on IR by the Titans today — has spent much of his six-year NFL career on the practice squad and inactive as a third-string quarterback. Dobbs came into tonight’s game with 17 NFL passing attempts in six games and zero starts.
