Aaron Rodgers is Going on a "Darkness Retreat" for Some Reason

Of Course Aaron Rodgers Wants to Isolate on a “Darkness Retreat” Before Making a Decision on His Future

Chicago Bears

As a long-time Las Vegas vacationer, I can confirm that nothing quite says Vegas like a reunion show on The Strip. So I’m not surprised Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams were able to get our attention this weekend teasing a Las Vegas reunion with the Raiders.

Adams even had some fun with it on the bird app:

Perhaps Adams will get what he is (not so subtly) asking for. And maybe a second consecutive offseason headlined by a Packers-Raiders trade (that takes a long-time nemesis out of the NFC North) will be good for all parties, including our own.

However, I don’t know the timetable for a deal to get done, because Rodgers is back on his nonsense.

In his most recent trip on the Pat McAfee Show, Rodgers talked about his upcoming, four-night “darkness retreat,” an evidently necessary step in deciding his future.

As nice as a good-old-fashioned darkness retreat sounds, the last thing that guy needs is more time alone in his own head. Remember, this is Rodgers we’re talking about. Any getaway for him is likely to get really weird, quickly.

Toward the end of the 2021 season, Rodgers said he wouldn’t hold the Packers hostage. But it kinda feels like we’re going down that path. Again.
