WATCH: DJ Moore Throws Out the First Pitch at Wrigley
Before I went off to my weekly Wednesday appointment, I was noticing some online discourse regarding America’s best summertime city. That there are people who don’t think it’s Chicago makes me laugh. But it also makes me feel sad for them because they clearly haven’t experienced the greatness that is Summertime Chi.
However, one person did get an early taste of summer as a Chicagoan. And that is new Chicago Bears receiver D.J. Moore, who threw out the first pitch at Wrigley Field before the Cubs-Mariners game:
There is no better snapshot of Chicago that a day with temperatures in the high 70s, a cloudless sky, and day baseball as the backdrop for afternoon shenanigans with your friends. Welcome to Chicago, D.J. — it’s like this all the time (at least from like May through October-ish). Just don’t ask me what it is like in November, December, January, and February because you might not like the answer. Heck, I don’t like the answer and I choose to live here. But days like today make the juice worth the squeeze.
