The Chicago Bears went triple-dipping on the defensive side of the ball with their Day 2 picks.
And they even went doubling down on defensive tackles. The first of which was Florida’s Gervon Dexter Sr., who put together quite the highlight reel at Florida:
My quick takeaway here is that Dexter’s ability to make plays in the backfield pops. Once that big body gets moving, stopping it becomes a major challenge. Scouting reports seem to suggest that Dexter needs to find some consistency in his game. That isn’t unsurprising when you think about Day 2 picks. Sometimes, it takes coaching at the pro level to take a player’s game to another level. If the Bears can do that, then we’ll be seeing a bunch of plays like the ones in the video above at Soldier Field in the years to come.
