Day 3 of the NFL Draft starts at 11 a.m. CT. So if you’re an early riser, then welcome to the party.
Sounds about right. At a minimum, that is definitely on brand for yours truly. But I digress. We’ve got football things to discuss!
After a successful Day 1 in which the Chicago Bears plugged its biggest hole on offense by drafting Tennessee right tackle Darnell Wright, GM Ryan Poles and his staff go back to work in search of more pieces to the puzzle.

We were asking for the Bears to get help in the trenches to protect Justin Fields. And our prayers were answered.
So … how about some Taylor Swift concert tickets at Soldier Field?
Hey, don’t give me *THAT* look! I had to try something!
FRIDAY’S PICKS
Round 2: DT Gervon Dexter Sr. (Pick No. 53), CB Tyrique Stevenson (Pick No. 56)
Round 3: DT Zacch Pickens (Pick No. 64)
Filling needs with draft picks is one thing. But what the Bears have done to this point is fill holes with prospects who could conceivably be starters early for this team. I would’ve loved to have seen the Bears make more picks on Day 2. However, I’m digging the process Poles is undergoing to this point.
Five Bears Needs
• Defensive end with the type of versatility that will allow him to play defensive tackle in a pinch
• Interior offensive linemen with center/guard flexibility
• Speedy wide receiver with separation skills
• A running back who can pass protect, run routes out of the backfield, and return kicks/punts
• Developmental quarterback to give Nathan Peterman a run for his money

Draft Thread
Your draft thread is down in the comments, so let’s have some good, clean (safe-for-work) fun. It’s good to be talking about players and team fits instead of mock drafts. Behave yourselves and be kind to others. And let’s finish strong!
