Just when you thought the entirety of the NFL’s holiday schedule was out the door, there’s one last surprise.
Per PHNX reporter Johnny Venerable, the Chicago Bears and Arizona Cardinals have a Christmas Eve date:
What a treat this could be for Bears fans. A home game on Christmas Eve against an awful-looking Arizona Cardinals team sounds delightful. Forcing the Arizonans to play in the cold and on a potentially snowy day would be dreamy. Might as well enjoy it now, because cold-weather games against teams based in warm-weather cities won’t be a thing once the Arlington Park project goes up. But we’ll cross that bridge when we get to it.
The Cardinals look like they are in full-on rebuild mode. Heck, Patrick’s power rankings suggest that this is a franchise that could be lining up to get the first pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. For me, this sounds like an easy win as an early holiday weekend present. And after last Christmas, I feel like I deserve that much from the NFL.
The rest of the NFL’s schedule is dropping at 7 p.m. CT. To this point, the Bears have kept things under wraps. I hope their schedule reveal is worth the wait.
