If you’re a fan who is hungry to see the new-look Chicago Bears, then your first chance to see them will come in 65 days when the preseason kicks off.
But don’t fret if you’re not able to make it to the game. And don’t worry if you aren’t in the Chicagoland television market when the exhibition season gets underway. Because NFL Network has you covered with coverage. The league announced its preseason and national broadcast schedule, which prominently features the Bears. Because of course it does. After all, the NFL and its television partners know America wants more Justin Fields in their life.
Here are the two games Bears fans can see nationally on NFL Network in August:
The Bears’ preseason lid lifter is the first leg of an NFL Network quadruple-header. Following Bears-Titans will be Jets-Panthers (3 p.m.), Eagles-Ravens (6 p.m.), and Chargers-Rams (8 p.m.). For the football crazy among us, that might be a day to kick back, relax, and push your Saturday chores off to Sunday. I normally wouldn’t recommend doing this for games that don’t count in the standings, but establishing a good routine in the preseason isn’t a concept that we should limit to players. We need to get our work in as viewers and fans, too.
Chicago’s other preseason game on NFL Network is part of another set of four games. A battle of cats (Jaguars-Lions) kicks off festivities at noon and will be followed by Dolphins-Texans at 3 in the afternoon. The Bears-Colts game at 6 p.m. is the third leg, while Cowboys-Seahawks at 9 p.m. CT wraps things up. You can check out the entire NFL Network preseason TV schedule here.
To be clear, we don’t know how much any of our favorite regulars will play in any of those games. But with as many new faces as the Bears brought in this offseason, there will be plenty to watch for throughout the depth chart. We’ll have eyes on football for all four quarters (as if you’d expect anything less from us), but with all the newbies in town, you might want to do the same. But if you don’t, then don’t sweat it. I’ll be here for all your preseason coverage needs.
