Who needs offense when you have defense and special teams to lead the way?
A formula that is tried and true for Chicago Bears football is working again.
That Tyrique Stevenson pick-six on an ill-advised Will Levis throw just gave the Bears their first lead of the game. It was a 17-0 deficit for Chicago’s football team at one point. But three Cairo Santos field goals, a blocked punt returned for a touchdown by Jonathan Owens, and now a defensive score have led the Bears to rattle off 24 straight points.
Now, the Bears have a 24-17 lead with about 7:35 left in the fourth quarter. It is painfully obvious that this team needs to do more of the same to win this game. Things are the same as ever when it comes to Bears football.
