The Chicago Bears will take on the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, and we already know they’ll be without DeForest Buckner, whom they placed on injured reserve this week. Buckner is dealing with a right high ankle sprain suffered in the Colts’ loss to the Green Bay Packers on Sunday.
Indianapolis is also missing key defenders JuJu Brents and Samson Ebukam for extended periods and rookie pass rusher Laiatu Latu, who missed Wednesday’s practice with a hip injury.
Indianapolis Colts Injury Report
Here’s Indianapolis’ participation report from Wednesday’s practice:
- DNP: K Matt Gay (quad)
- DNP: DE Laiatu Latu (hip)
- FULL: S Julian Blackmon (shoulder)
- FULL: WR Josh Downs (ankle)
- FULL: CB Kenny Moore II (thumb)
- FULL: S Rodney Thomas (shoulder)
Indianapolis’ defense has struggled through the season’s first two games, allowing a league-high 237 rushing yards per contest. With the Colts already struggling on defense, losing DeForest Buckner is a recipe for the Chicago Bears to finally get their ground game on track this week.
Julian Blackmon missed last week’s game against the Packers with a shoulder injury but was a full participant today.
