Jaquan Brisker was a defensive MVP in the Chicago Bears’ win against the Los Angeles Rams.
Brisker was making plays all over the field on Sunday. But none was bigger than this interception of an errant Matthew Stafford pass to seal the deal:

I’ll get this out of the way right now: Yes, Darrell Taylor got away with a roughing the passer penalty. But the refs didn’t call it. As someone who has seen Bears quarterbacks get hit like that and not get a penalty called in their favor, I see this missed call by that officiating crew as the scoreboard leveling out. Anyway, back to Jaquan Brisker and the Bears’ big win.
Jaquan Brisker was tremendous in Chicago’s triumph against Los Angeles. The third-year safety racked up a game-high 13 total tackles (including a team-leading 8 solo stops), 2 tackles-for-loss, 1 quarterback hit, 1 sack, and 1 pass break-up. It was a stat-stuffing performance for Jaquan on a day that the Bears needed every bit of it. Phew.
We’ll have more to come on the Chicago Bears’ victory on Sunday. The Bears will finish September with a .500 record. After losing those back-to-back games the way they did, entering October on a high note feels HUGE.
