No matter what happens the rest of the season, the offensive line is going to be the first, second, and third priority for General Manager Ryan Poles and the Bears this upcoming offseason. While he may dabble in free agency a bit, the best way to rebuild this struggling unit is via the draft. While the Bears will have plenty of cap space to spend, free agency is always risky business in the NFL.
Just look at how Chicago’s offensive line is built now. The three pieces you would think are potential building blocks or players that could stick around are Darnell Wright (1st Round, 2023), Teven Jenkins (2nd Round, 2021), and Braxton Jones (5th Round, 2022). Free agency can be hit or miss. And outside of adding a piece here and there, it’s not really how you want to build your roster for the long term.
Ryan Poles has plenty of draft picks to work with and should be leaving the NFL’s marquee event with multiple new offensive linemen to work with. Whether he decides to go with a tackle, guard, center, or all of the above, this group needs to look fairly different when the 2025 NFL season rolls around.
Here’s how you can watch the top offensive line prospects in the 2025 NFL Draft this weekend.
