The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their Week 14 matchup against the Chicago Bears at Levi’s Stadium, but injuries continue to impact key players.
Defensive end Nick Bosa, tackle Trent Williams, guard Aaron Banks and linebacker Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles missed Wednesday’s practice as they recover from various injuries. Running back Jordan Mason, who is dealing with a high-ankle sprain, was placed on injured reserve and was also absent. Running back Christian McCaffrey was also placed on injured reserve with a knee injury suffered on Sunday against Buffalo.
On a positive note for San Francisco, safety Talanoa Hufanga, recovering from a wrist injury, returned to practice wearing a cast on his hand as he works his way back from injured reserve. Cornerback Deommodore Lenoir, sidelined in Week 13 due to a knee issue, was a limited participant in practice.
Meanwhile, linebacker Dre Greenlaw remains limited as he continues his recovery from an Achilles injury suffered earlier in the year, with a potential return slated for Week 15 against the Los Angeles Rams.
The team is closely monitoring these players’ progress as they aim to manage their health for the crucial stretch of the season.
