This game isn’t going the Chicago Bears’ way, but at least Rome Odunze is having a nice afternoon.
For the second time in Week 14, the rookie connection of Caleb Williams and Rome Odunze have connected for a touchdown. Here’s what it looked like:

WATCH Rome Odunze’s First TD
After that TD snag, Odunze now has four receptions, 42 receiving yards, and a pair of scores. This is a nice little showcase game for Rome, who was a top-10 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft and was expected to form a quality tandem with fellow first-year player Caleb Williams.
Speaking of Williams, his numbers are starting to look respectable. The No. 1 overall pick in last April’s draft has completed 17 of 22 passes, has thrown two touchdowns, and has a 122.2 passer rating. The 134 passing yards and 6.1 yards per attempt is relatively uninspiring. But it feels like he has come a long way since a woeful first half.
I wonder if Rome and Caleb have a hat trick in them. Stay tuned…
