The 2025 NFL Draft is in 121 days. So plan accordingly if you are a Chicago Bears fan planning to head to Green Bay to enjoy the festivities. With that being said, I know not *EVERYONE* is looking forward to the upcoming NFL Draft. Take Las Vegas Raiders Head Coach Antonio Pierce for example.
Pierce made it clear that he does not care one bit about the Raiders’ draft positioning.
Antonio Pierce has no regrets about winning
“Fantasy football […] draft projections […], none of that sh*t matters to us. The only thing that matters is winning, and that’s all we want to do.” 🗣️

“We don’t do this to lose. We don’t do this for anybody’s fantasy football team. Don’t do this for anybody’s draft projections,” Pierce said via ESPN’s Paul Gutierrez. “None of that sh** matters to us. What matters is winning, and that’s all we want to do.”
While the Raiders coach gives no effs about Vegas’ draft positioning, it is the only thing (save for rookie quarterback Caleb Williams’ continued development) I can bring myself to care about these days. As things stand right now, the Bears are projected to pick ninth in the 2025 NFL Draft. The team would need some good fortune to move up, but it seems unlikely with the teams ahead of them in the draft order looking more likely to lose their upcoming games than win one or two.
2025 NFL MOCK DRAFT: Bears Beef Up Their Offensive Line With a Top Tackle Prospect
However, I feel as if it is worth pointing out that the Bears cannot pick lower than 10th when April’s draft rolls around. In other words, this team will be picking in the top 10 for the third time in Ryan Poles’ tenure as Chicago’s general manager. Ouch. No wonder this fan base is clamoring for possible general manager candidates worth considering in case the franchise decides to slide in a different direction.
Chicago Bears 2025 NFL Draft Picks
These are the picks the Bears currently have for the 2025 NFL Draft (via Tankathon):
- Round 1, Pick 9
- Round 2, Pick 40
- Round 2, Pick 41 (via Carolina Panthers)
- Round 3, Pick 71
- Round 5, Pick 145
- Round 6, Pick 201 (via Pittsburgh Steelers)
- Round 7, Pick 229 (via Cincinnati Bengals)
- Round 7, Pick 246 (via Minnesota Vikings)
It would be nice to see Chicago’s football team add to this collection of picks. But as it stands, having eight picks, an estimated $82,037,877 in salary cap space (h/t OverTheCap), and the return of quarterback Caleb Williams seems like enough ammo to make a strong pitch to Detroit Lions Offensive Coordinator Ben Johnson or any other head coach candidate when the time comes.
REPORT: Ben Johnson is “Expected to Interview” For Chicago Bears Coaching Job
We have a long way to go before we begin connecting the Bears to probable picks. However, one of the league’s worst-kept secrets is that the team will prioritize offensive line upgrades this offseason. It would make sense for Chicago’s front office (no matter who is running it) to double-dip — meaning address needs in the trenches via free agency *AND* the 2025 NFL Draft. Recent mock drafts have been sending the University of Texas offensive lineman Kelvin Banks Jr. to the Windy City. The award-winning Longhorns lineman is believed to be a prospect who could start at tackle or guard as a rookie. And if that is the case, he will be welcomed with open arms in Chicago.
