2025 NFL Mock Draft: Sanders, Ward Off the Board First, Campbell First OL to Go

Tennessee Titans Team Needs
Tennessee Titans Team Needs

Let’s take another look at a 2025 NFL Mock Draft!

With Divisional Round weekend now behind us, the order for the 2025 NFL Draft is beginning to take shape. As we move closer to the league’s biggest offseason event, the big questions arise: Will any new quarterbacks rise up the ranks and secure first-round spots? Will the Bears manage to select one of the top offensive linemen available, or will they need to adjust their strategy and go in a different direction?

2025 NFL Mock Draft

1. Tennessee Titans: QB Shedeur Sanders – Colorado

The Will Levis experiment just hasn’t worked out in Tennessee, and now that they have their pick of whichever quarterback they want, I think they jump at the chance. I would not be surprised if Cam Ward gains momentum to go here at some point in the process, but for now, the Titans roll with Sanders.

2. Cleveland Browns: QB Cam Ward – Miami

With Deshaun Watson suffering another Achilles tear, Cleveland will likely take a shot on a quarterback here. I wouldn’t be stunned if, at some point in the process, another QB starts climbing draft boards, but as of now, it seems like the clear top two are Shedeur Sanders and Cam Ward. Whichever remains on the board at No. 2 is probably the pick for the Browns.

3. New York Giants: CB/WR Travis Hunter – Colorado

As the draft order stands, the Giants miss out on the top QBs in the draft for the second straight season. I wouldn’t be stunned if they became a trade candidate – either to move up or even slightly down – but at this point, with their needs and Travis Hunter on the board, I think they have to go that route.

4. New England Patriots: WR Tetairoa McMillan – Arizona

Their Week 18 win was costly, but luckily for them, they don’t need a quarterback, and selecting fourth should give them a chance at the top two wide receivers in this draft. They could take one of the top two tackles, but getting a bonafide number-one WR to pair with Drake Maye seems like the play here.

5. Jacksonville Jaguars: DL Mason Graham – Michigan

I was hopeful that Mason Graham might fall to the Bears earlier in this process, and I saw that path, but I think the closer we get to draft day, the more he will climb boards and probably not fall out of the top 5-7 picks. He’s an elite interior DL prospect, and Jacksonville needs a lot of help in that area.

Michigan defensive lineman Mason Graham (55) tackles Oregon running back Noah Whittington (6) during the second half at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2024.

6. Las Vegas Raiders: EDGE Abdul Carter – Penn State

I think the Raiders are at the point with enough needs that they could go best available on the board, and here, I think that’s Abdul Carter. Carter has been an absolute monster all season, and his final game at Penn State in the Orange Bowl showed off how good he can be. Pairing Carter with Maxx Crosby would be a nightmare situation for opposing offenses to worry about.

7. New York Jets: CB Will Johnson – Michigan

With Abdul Carter off the board, I think the Jets also fall into a bit of a dilemma. Do they potentially reach on a different edge rusher they love, or do they go with the best available at a different position? As of now, I think it’s the best player available in this type of situation, and Will Johnson is the pick.

8. Carolina Panthers: EDGE Mykel Williams – Georgia

The Panthers really started to show some promise toward the end of the season and look like a team that, with a good offseason, could compete in the NFC South in 2025. To do that, they’ll need to beef up in the trenches a bit and do a better job getting after the quarterback. Mykel Williams has climbed up several draft boards over the last few months and did a great job getting after the QB for Georgia this season.

9. New Orleans Saints: EDGE James Pearce Jr. – Tennessee

I keep going back and forth on the order of these EDGE rushers, and I think momentum will continue to swing as we get closer to the draft. Pearce Jr’s ceiling is so high, and I think he’ll put up some impressive numbers at the combine if he does participate. New Orleans needs help getting to the quarterback, Pearce Jr can provide that.

10. Chicago Bears: OT Will Campbell – LSU

The Bears losing streak severely exposed their lack of depth in the trenches on both sides of the ball. Building up their strength up the middle should be their first, second, and third highest priorities for General Manager Ryan Poles to address in the offseason, and the choice of Will Campbell or Kelvin Banks Jr would be a great start.

11. San Francisco 49ers: OT Kelvin Banks Jr – Texas

The Niners could go with either side of the line of scrimmage here, and I’ve gone back and forth on what I think they’ll do here a bit. It will depend on how highly they value some of the other DL on the draft board, but Kelvin Banks Jr makes a lot of sense for them here to sure up the offensive side of the trenches either at guard or tackle.

12. Dallas Cowboys: RB Ashton Jeanty – Boise State

Dallas has more significant needs than a running back, but as we’ve seen this year, the right one can make a huge difference. Jeanty is an excellent running back, and he’s probably the best player available at this point. It seems like most mock drafts are making this connection, but that’s for a good reason. Dallas has a ton of holes in their roster that need filling. Having said that, the Cowboys’ ground attack has been brutal this year, and Jeanty can help.

13. Miami Dolphins: DL Kenneth Grant – Michigan

Miami needs to fill out both sides of their line of scrimmage. They need to get meanier, nastier, and tougher in the trenches. Kenneth Grant exudes all of those characteristics and can instantly upgrade a Dolphins defensive line that needs help, especially on the interior.

2025 NFL MOCK DRAFT: Possible Chicago Bears Fits and Targets

14. Indianapolis Colts: S Malaki Starks – Georgia

The Colts need help in the secondary, I think ideally they’d like to take a corner and Benjamin Morrison could still end up being the pick, but Malaki Starks is going to keep climbing up the boards and might be the safer pick for Indy here given Morrison’s injury issues this year.

15. Atlanta Falcons: EDGE/LB Jalon Walker – Georgia

Jalon Walker is a fantastic defender and can play in several spots throughout the front seven. He had 6.5 sacks for Georgia to go along with 60 tackles. The Falcons can use help getting to the quarterback, and Walker can do that and more for a defense that could use his versatility.

16. Arizona Cardinals – LB Jihaad Campbell – Alabama

This is the highest I’ve had Campbell on my draft board yet, and I think once the pre-draft process starts, he’ll have a chance to really shoot up the draft board. The Cardinals will undoubtedly be looking to boost their defense, and Campbell can play on the edge or off the ball and be incredibly productive. He’s insanely explosive and has some freak-athlete traits, and I think he’ll be a quick riser as we get closer to April.

17. Cincinnati Bengals: EDGE Nic Scourton – Texas A&M

The Bengals defense was a s**t show this season, and that’s putting it kindly. They got an MVP-type effort from Joe Burrow but still missed the playoffs. They need to address that side of the ball in a big way. They could go multiple routes here, both along the defensive line or in the secondary, but I think Nic Scourton gives them a rock-solid option on the D-Line that can make an impact ASAP.

18. Seattle Seahawks: OT Josh Simmons – Ohio State

At one point, Josh Simmons was seen as the top tackle in this draft class. Injuries derailed him off that track a bit, but as time goes on and he gets healthy I think he’ll creep back up draft boards. Seattle needs help along the O-Line and Simmons could end up being a steal for them if he makes it this far.

19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: CB Benjamin Morrison – Notre Dame

Tampa needs help in the secondary. Their defense has been a bit of a roller coaster this season, and adding a lockdown corner would go a long way in helping them stay atop the NFC South next season. Morrison comes with some injury risk after much of his season at Notre Dame was lost due to hip surgery, but at his best, he’s a VERY good cornerback.

20. Denver Broncos – TE Tyler Warren – Penn State

A reliable and versatile tight end that can be deployed in many different ways and many different spots on the offense feels like a perfect fit for Sean Payton and his offense. Warren has been Penn State’s best player this year offensively and has done almost everything for them; for that, he’s entered the first-round conversation. He’d be a great fit in Denver as they build up their young offense.

21. Pittsburgh Steelers: WR Luther Burden III – Missouri

This would be a little out-of-character pick for Pittsburgh, which usually likes to build from the inside out. However, Luther Burden III has had an outstanding career at Missouri and is a big play waiting to happen. He can come in on day one, significantly impact the Steelers’ offense, and be a weapon for whoever is playing QB in the Steel City next season.

22. Los Angeles Chargers: TE Colston Loveland – Michigan

The Chargers have had a nice first season under Jim Harbaugh, but they still have a few holes to fill, and we saw that in the playoff loss to Houston. Harbaugh loves having a tight end that he and his quarterback can rely on. Loveland has already been that for Harbaugh at Michigan, and in this situation, the two sides feel like a perfect match to reunite at the NFL level.

23. Green Bay Packers: CB Shavon Revel Jr. – East Carolina

Green Bay loves spending first-round picks on defensive players. This pick feels like it would either be cornerback or DL for them. Revel Jr has all the tools and the frame to be a top cornerback in the NFL, though he might need a little development. The Packers develop as well as any team in the league, though, which makes him a great fit here, in my opinion.

24. Minnesota Vikings: CB Jahdae Barron – Texas

While Minnesota’s defense has been good this year, cornerback could be a spot to make an addition this offseason. Stephon Gilmore is up there in age and on a one-year deal. Barron would be a solid fit in that secondary and help give them a long-term answer at cornerback. He can play multiple positions on the back end and would be able to slot in wherever needed.

25. Houston Texans: OL Tyler Booker – Alabama

Houston’s interior offensive line was one of their biggest issues this season, and that issue came back to bite them against the Chiefs in the Divisional Round. If Tyler Booker is here at 25th Overall, he feels like a perfect fit in Houston.

26. Los Angeles Rams: OT Josh Conerly Jr – Oregon

The Rams need to add to their offensive line this offseason, and Conerly Jr presents a very good option at tackle for them. He had a phenomenal year for Oregon and has been steadily rising draft boards all season. I think he might continue to do that and would provide Los Angeles some flexibility when sorting out their needs up front.

27. Baltimore Ravens: EDGE Jack Sawyer – Ohio State

In my opinion, Sawyer’s stock will only rise after his Cotton Bowl performance against Texas. He is one of the top edge rushers in the country, without a doubt, and the Ravens usually seem to like to go with high-floor type guys. Sawyer feels like the type of player who would fit in with Baltimore from day one.

28. Detroit Lions: EDGE Princely Umanmielen – Ole Miss

The Lions have done a nice job getting after the quarterback, even after the loss of Aidan Hutchinson. However, they could still use a mainstay on the opposite side of Hutchinson, and ZaDarius Smith is more likely to be a filler in the short term. Umanmielen had 10.5 sacks for Ole Miss in 2024 and has all the size and traits you could want in a pass rusher.

29. Washington Commanders: OL Jonah Savaiinaea – Arizona

For as good of a season as Washington has had, they could stand to improve at a few different positions. Defensively, they could use a little help getting to the quarterback, but the offensive line is a need too. Savaiinaea provides the Commanders with stability and flexibility along the offensive line and would fill a big need for them.

30. Buffalo Bills: DL Derrick Harmon – Oregon

The Bills have been one of the most fun teams in the NFL this season, however, if there’s a spot to get them it’s their run defense and ability in the defensive trenches. Their losses this season have highlighted some needs on defense, namely up the middle. Harmon can come in and provide some help there right away.

31. Philadelphia Eagles: EDGE Mike Green – Marshall

The Eagles have taken a big step forward defensively this season under Vic Fangio, but it still feels like they could stand to add a true pass rusher on the edge to round out their unit. Mike Green is gaining momentum and at 6’4, 248 lbs has the frame and tools to be a breakout talent in the NFL in the right system.

31. Kansas City Chiefs: OT Aireonte Ersery – Minnesota

While the Chiefs don’t have many holes, adding a tackle would be one of the few to address. Defensively, they’ve been great this year, but they can do a little bit better of a job protecting Patrick Mahomes. Ersery might need a little development, but there’s no better place to develop than Kansas City.

Spring Training Miscellany: The First Full Squad Day

The first full day of work for the Chicago Cubs was today in Mesa, Arizona, as the team prepares for the 2025 season. Sounds Like We Shouldn’t Count on a Dylan Cease Trade

DYLAN CEASE — Aside from some clarity at the ownership level, I have no idea what changed for the Padres over the past week. All winter long, we heard rumors that they would have to subtract, perhaps significantly, from their payroll before they could consider adding even a single penny to the bottom line. And for most of the winter, that has proved true. Indeed, that reality was seemingly supported by...

I don't always love what the Cubs go with, but I'm always interested to see what a given season's marketing slogan is going to be. Just to button up the Seiya Suzuki Designated Hitter thing, we have some comments from the man himself. No, I Do Not Think the Cubs Are Now Going to Target Nolan Arenado

In the wake of third baseman Alex Bregman choosing to sign with the Boston Red Sox, who'd been the leading suitor in trade for third baseman Nolan Arenado, a lot of folks have given thought to "what now" for the Cardinals. It seems to me the most likely "what now" is an awkward next five-ish months with the Cardinals desperately hoping Arenado positions himself (and his contract) as a compelling...
