We Cover the Chicago Blackhawks Now!

Chicago Blackhawks

When I decided to try to turn my nights-and-weekends hobby into a full-time job almost ten years ago, I truly never thought about Bleacher Nation becoming more than a one-man shop that chattered on about the Chicago Cubs. But I was so fortunate that enough people wanted to check the place out that I needed some help, so Michael (and Luke, and later Bryan) hopped on. And then we were so fortunate that a lot of you readers wondered where you could get “BN style” stuff about the other Chicago teams, so Luis hopped on and we started covering the Bears. That worked well enough that we wanted to add the Bulls, and Eli joined us.

Thus, now it’s time to add Chicago’s NHL team, and we are thrilled to bring Mario Tirabassi on board as our new lead Blackhawks writer! Mario’s been covering hockey and the Blackhawks for years in a range of formats, and when we started this search process, his name came up again and again as the guy we should be eyeing. We are as excited about today as Mario:

Our Blackhawks coverage kicks off today, just in time for the start of training camp, and the open of the season on January 13. You can expect that the rollout will be a deliberate process (i.e., some intentional guardrails put up to set Mario (and the rest of us) up for success), but BN Blackhawks is here now. Thank you so much for being a part of what we do here at BN, and letting us try to hook you up with wall-to-wall Chicago sports coverage. As always, you can navigate to each of the sports (/cubs, /bears, etc.) if that’s all you want to see!

For the hockey fans among you, please go ahead and follow us on Twitter and give us a like on Facebook so that you’re fully on board for the launch:
