Oof: The Blackhawks Just Canceled Practice Due to Potential COVID-19 Exposure

Chicago Blackhawks

Crap. On Saturday morning, the Chicago Blackhawks canceled their morning practice due to potential COVID-19 exposure.

They say it’s out of an abundance of caution, but that doesn’t exactly make you feel much better, given what we know about the virus, its spread, and the NHL’s poor track record early on this season:

In any case, the Blackhawks are set to take on the Columbus Blue Jackets tomorrow night at the United Center, but that game’s fate is obviously undetermined at this time. The team has yet to make an announcement about their future scheduled games and practices.

Meanwhile, don’t forget that the Blackhawks have three players, Alex DeBrincat, Adam Boqvist, and Lucas Wallmark, on the NHL COVID-19 protocol list.
