The Chicago Blackhawks footprint on the NHL’s COVID-19 Protocol list is getting smaller. After five players were once on the list, now it is down to just two. Adam Boqvist is back with the Blackhawks after being cleared of the league COVID Protocol.
Lucas Wallmark and Ryan Carpenter remain on the list for the Blackhawks.

Today is 2 weeks exactly since he was placed on it.

It’s a good time to remind everyone that players and staff can land on the NHL COVID Protocol list for more reasons than just testing positive for the virus. It could also be an unconfirmed test result, isolation due to similar symptoms, or a required quarantine period due to high-risk close contact with a person who tests positive.
Boqvist has been on the NHL COVID Protocol list since January 25, two weeks from today. He played in the first six games for the Blackhawks, tallying three assists in the process. Boqvist has missed the last seven games for Chicago but it should be assumed he will return to the lineup right away when available.
