Blackhawks Roster Moves: Pirri, Beaudin, Johnson, and Delia Recalled from the IceHogs

Chicago Blackhawks

On Monday morning, the Chicago Blackhawks recalled four players from the Rockford IceHogs and re-assigned two players back. Reese Johnson, Brandon Pirri, Nicolas Beaudin, and Collin Delia were recalled back to the Blackhawks taxi squad, while Matt Tomkins and Tim Söderlund were sent to the IceHogs.

Additionally, IceHogs goalie Tom Aubrun was sent down to the ECHL’s Indy Fuel.

Delia had been playing with the IceHogs on a conditioning assignment and comes back after 11 days and four games with Rockford. Because Delia was on a conditioning assignment, he could be in the AHL for only 14 days without having to go through waivers. In his four starts with the IceHogs, he was 2-2-0 with an .858 save percentage and a 5.16 GAA. Delia won his last two appearances with the IceHogs over the weekend, making 62-of-67 saves.

Also of note is defenseman Nicolas Beaudin. In four games with the IceHogs, Beaudin tallied six assists, including a three-assist night on Saturday night against the Iowa Wild. In 11 NHL games with the Blackhawks this season, Beaudin has two goals, three assists,  and is averaging 14:03 minutes per game.
