After not receiving a qualifying offer from the Blackhawks as a restricted free agent, Pius Suter is reportedly getting a lot of interest in the free agency market and will take his time getting the right deal.
Pius Suter is generating a lot of interest in free agency, but he's unlikely to sign a deal today or tomorrow. He'll take time to weigh his options after not receiving a qualifying offer from Chicago.

Suter, 25, was a breakout rookie last season with the Blackhawks after winning the Swiss NLA MVP award in 2019-20. He tallied 14 goals and 27 points in 55 games with Chicago, ranking fourth on the team in points.
Suter was also playing on a one-year contract and became a restricted free agent with Chicago in the offseason. By not receiving a qualifying offer, he became an unrestricted free agent. And while he could still sign with the Blackhawks, that appears unlikely after some of the moves being made by Chicago.
Suter’s a skilled, middle-six forward who was given a lot of responsibility with a young Chicago teams last season and will likely garner a new deal somewhere in the $3M AAV range, based on what his Blackhawks teammates and fellow former NLA MVP Dominik Kubalík received (two years, $3.7M AAV) after his rookie season. If not the Blackhawks, Suter is going to make some team very, very happy.
