Well, Hawks got a point out of that one, right?
It still feels icky. Much of that game looked eerily similar to the opening night loss in Colorado, but a two-goal burst in the final four minutes sent it to overtime to guarantee the Blackhawks a point. A tip of the hat to Jack Hughes, because that backhand that he beat Lankinen on in overtime was pretty darn nice.

Hat tip to Kevin Lankinen as well as he played pretty well for much of the night despite his defense allowing some pretty dangerous shots to get to him.
Let’s just be frank here; this team is not playing well at all. They often look confused when trying to exit their defensive zone, giving way to easy scoring opportunities off turnovers in their zone. The offensive pressure is almost non-existent, entries have been sloppy. There’s just really no crispness to their game.
But, Kirby Dach — you’re a stud. Brandon Hagel, and Alex DeBrincat, you guys, too!
Jake McCabe, what the heck dude?
Alright, the Hawks salvaged a point, and we’re on to Pittsburgh tomorrow night.
