Blackhawks Remove Khaira and Stillman From the COVID-19 Protocol

Chicago Blackhawks

The Blackhawks will be getting some additional reinforcements for their matchup with the Carolina Hurricanes on Wednesday after they announced this afternoon that two players and two coaches had been removed from the COVID-19 protocols.

Forward Jujhar Khaira and defenseman Riley Stillman were at this morning’s optional skate, as were goaltending coach Jimmy Waite and assistant coach Marc Crawford. Forward Henrik Borgström remains in the COVID-19 protocols, but he is now the lone Blackhawks player in the protocols after as many as five were in the protocol last week.

Khaira and Stillman have each played five games this season and both have been held off of the scoresheet with neither having logged a point yet this season.

Patrick Kane returned from the protocols last night and posted a hat trick and a four-point game in his return from a four-game absence.
