You know you are low in the pecking order when a Blackhawks fan can poke fun at your team. That’s exactly what happened on Wednesday night at AEW Dynamite at UBS Arena in New York, home to the Islanders.
Noted Blackhawks super-fan and pro wrestling icon CM Punk pulled no punches with the New York crowd, roasting the Islanders in vintage “Heel Punk” fashion.

The Islanders are having one of the worst stretches of any team this season, including the start of the year the Blackhawks had. New York just ended an 11-game losing streak (0-8-3) on Tuesday night with a win in Ottawa over the Senators. Their most recent loss was at the new UBS Arena to the Blackhawks in a shootout, keeping them winless (0-4-2) this season in the new barn. They sit last in the Metropolitan division and are 29th in the NHL at 6-10-5.
Safe to say, I don’t think Punk has too many friends on “the Island,” but I don’t think he cares.
