Calvin de Haan Has Been Placed in COVID Protocol

Chicago Blackhawks

As the NHL continues to see COVID cases rise within the league, and nearly one-third of teams being shut down through the Holidays, the Chicago Blackhawks had been relatively safe through this past week. But now, they join the growing list of issues as defenseman Calvin de Haan has been placed in COVID protocol.

Last playing on December 15, de Haan had been away from the club due to what was called a non-COVID illness for the past few days. Now he enters league protocols.

The 30-year-old defenseman has skated in 26 games this season for Chicago but has not registered a point. He is averaging 18:52 minutes per game this season.
