Reichel tallied a four-point night on Friday in Rockford, scoring twice and adding two assists in the IceHogs’ 8-0 shutout win over the Chicago Wolves. Reichel followed it up on Saturday night with a two-point effort, tallying his third goal and third assist of the weekend in Rockford’s 6-2 win over the Milwaukee Admirals on the road.
The 2020 first-round pick by the Blackhawks has been tearing it up in the AHL this season, his first year playing professionally in North America. The 19-year-old rookie leads the IceHogs in both goals (11) and points (20) in 20 AHL games this season. Among active rookies in the AHL, Reichel is tied for sixth in points, tied for second in goals, and is one of seven active rookies scoring at a point-per-game pace or higher.
