McCabe has skated in 32 games with the Blackhawks this season, his first with Chicago after signing as a free agent this offseason. He has recorded three goals and six points while averaging 20:31 minutes per game, the second-most minutes per game in his career (20:42 in 2016-17 with Buffalo).
Galvas, a 2017 fifth-round pick by the Blackhawks, has skated in 20 AHL games this season with the Rockford IceHogs, his first season professionally in North America. He has one goal and five assists as a rookie for the IceHogs. Over the past five seasons, Galvas has played professionally in the Czech Extraliga and the Finnish Liiga, playing in 208 games between HC Olomouc and Jukurit. Tonight will be Galvas’ NHL debut.
The Blackhawks and Blue Jackets drop the puck tonight at 6:00 p.m. CT in Columbus.
