Commesso is one of 15 NCAA players to make-up the 25-man roster for the U.S.
After missing the 2021 World Junior Championships due to COVID restrictions and having the 2022 World Junior Championships canceled/postponed, Commesso gets another opportunity to represent his country at a major tournament. The 2020 second-round draft pick was selected as an injury replacement for Team USA at the World Championships this past summer, but did not play in a game.
Commesso has been the top goaltender at the University of Boston for the past two seasons and was named to the Hockey East All-Rookie team as a freshman last season. In two years at Boston, Commesso has a 14-10-4 record with a .910 save-percentage. This season, Commesso is 8-7-3 with a .907 save-percentage and a 2.67 GAA.
