The Blackhawks have announced a number of roster moves this morning, including defenseman Seth Jones coming out of COVID protocol and four players being assigned to the Rockford IceHogs. Also coming out of COVID protocol with Jones are athletic trainer Mike Gapski and equipment manager Troy Parchment.

Jones has been the top defenseman for the Blackhawks this season, averaging a team-high 25:54 minutes per game, which also ranks fifth-most in the NHL overall. He leads all defensemen this season with three goals and 25 points in 35 games played.
The four players that have been sent to the Rockford IceHogs include defenseman Jakub Galvas, forwards Mike Hardman and Josiah Slavin, and goaltender Cale Morris.
Galvas made his NHL debut with the Blackhawks during his first NHL call-up this past week, playing 23:40 in his first game on January 11. He skated in three games without recording a point, with four shots on goal and a +1 rating. In 20 AHL games this season, Galvas has one goal and six points for the IceHogs.
The Blackhawks are off until Friday when they has the Minnesota Wild for the first of back-to-back, home-and-home games against Minnesota. Puck drop on Friday at the United Center is at 7:30 p.m. CT.
The IceHogs play next on Friday night as well, hosting the Texas Stars for a 7:00 p.m. CT puck drop in Rockford.
