For the first time since the game that got Jeremy Colliton fired, the Chicago Blackhawks are in Winnipeg tonight to take on the Jets. Chicago is coming off of a lackluster performance on Saturday night against the St. Louis Blues, a 5-1 loss. It was the same score and same kind of effort that was given on November 5 against these Jets, which ended the next day with Colliton being shown the door and interim head coach Derek King being promoted in his place. The Blackhawks find themselves 2-6-2 in their last ten games since January 17 and 14 points back of the second wildcard spot in the Western Conference.
The Jets have points in their last three games (2-0-1) heading into tonight and are 3-5-3 in their last 11 games. Winnipeg sits in sixth-place in the Central Division standings, seven points ahead of the Blackhawks. They are also seven points back of the Anaheim Ducks for the second wildcard spot in the Western Conference.

What To Watch For
• Dylan Strome continues to have the hot-hand for the Blackhawks over the past few weeks. He has three multi-point efforts in his last six games played and scored on the powerplay against the Blues Saturday night in the 5-1 loss, his ninth goal of the season. Strome leads the Blackhawks in points since January 16, with 11 in nine games played.
• Marc-André Fleury is in net, again, for Chicago tonight. He has started 15 of Chicago’s 18 games in the calendar year of 2022 and 14 of their last 15 games. Fleury is 15-17-3 on the season with a .908 save-percentage and a 2.94 GAA. He is 1-4-0 in his last five starts with a .892 save-percentage in those five starts.
• This is the first time that the Blackhawks and Jets have faced each other since the clubs met in Winnipeg on November 5. That was a 5-1 win for the Jets and the last game for Chicago under then-head coach Jeremy Colliton. The Blackhawks were 1-9-2 following that loss and have gone 16-15-5 under interim head coach Derek King since then, which is 20th in the NHL based on point-percentage (.514).
