It’s the Adam Boqvist revenge game at the United Center tonight (the first matchup with the Blue Jackets was in Columbus). The Blackhawks welcome the Blue Jackets to the United Center for the first half of a back-to-back with Columbus and Dallas these next two nights, and they will be without goaltender Marc-André Fleury who was given the night off by head coach Derek King in anticipation of starting the veteran netminder tomorrow night against the Dallas Stars.
Tonight will also be the first time Seth Jones has faced the Columbus Blue Jackets since he was traded to Chicago this offseason. Jones was in the COVID-19 protocols when the Blackhawks traveled to Columbus last month.
Seth Jones will face Columbus for the first time since the trade tonight, after the last game was foiled by COVID. He got dinner with the Blue Jackets last night.
“It’ll be a little strange [tonight]. There are some familiar faces… Glad I get a shot here to play against them.”

What To Watch For
• With Marc-André Fleury getting a much-needed rest before the second half of the back-to-back when the Blackhawks take on the Dallas Stars tomorrow night, Arvid Soderblöm will get his second start of the season tonight against the Columbus Blue Jackets. Soderblöm allowed four goals to the Calgary Flames in his lone start of the season on January 2 when the Blackhawks were dealing with some COVID-19 issues at goaltender. Soderblöm allowed three goals in relief Collin Delia in a 6-1 beatdown in Nashville on New Year’s Day. The 22-year-old netminder has a .922 save percentage in Rockford this season.
• The Blackhawks topped the Blue Jackets 4-2 in their first season meeting on January 11. Alex DeBrincat scored a pair of goals for the Blackhawks, and defenseman Connor Murphy and Calvin de Haan each added goals in the victory for Chicago.
• Seth Jones gets to take on his former team for the first time tonight after missing the trip to Columbus last month when he was in the COVID-19 protocols. Jones has been solid for the Blackhawks this season scoring 30 points in 45 games.
