I don’t know what’s more unbelievable; the fact that the Colorado Avalanche would think that the Blackhawks would trade Patrick Kane or the fact that the Blackhawks enter today’s contest with a highly off-the-wall losing streak to boot!?
• According to The Fourth Period’s Frank Pangotta, the Colorado Avalance have been in contact with Kyle Davidson to let him know that if that were the route that Chicago or Kane wanted to explore, they would be eager to make something happen.

• I suppose that it’s not that wonky of an idea if you put yourselves in the shoes of anyone outside of the Blackhawks fan base with Colorado (and other teams, according to Elliotte Friedman) just checking in on the superstar forward’s availability with a rebuild on the horizon for the Blackhawks.

• Can you imagine that, though? The Avalanche would be the undisputed Stanley Cup favorites for the next two years (at least) if they acquired Patrick Kane from the Blackhawks.
• The Blackhawks are in Philadelphia today, and they’re dealing with one heck of a wild losing streak in the City of Brotherly Love:
Did you know the Blackhawks have never won a regular-season game at the Wells Fargo Center? In fact, they haven't won a regular-season game in Philly since 1996 at the old Spectrum Arena. They'll try to snap a 25-year regular-season road losing streak on Saturday night. pic.twitter.com/8CESnphwCK

• 1996 folks! The number one song on the Billboard Top 100 the last time the Blackhawks won a game in Philadelphia was ‘No Diggity’ by BLACKstreet (ft. Dr. Dre). This was before Dr. Dre was locked in Eminem’s basement, before anyone outside of D.C. knew Monica Lewinsky’s name, and before everyone thought that technology would take a unified dump when the ball dropped in the year 2000.
• The last time the Blackhawks beat the Flyers in Philadelphia during the regular season was November 9, 1996. Gary Suter, Eric Daze, Murray Craven, John LeClair, and Tony Amonte scored for the Blackhawks in a 4-1 victory, and Jeff Hackett made 33 saves against 34 Philadelphia shots on goal.
• All jokes aside, the Blackhawks won in Philadelphia when it mattered!

• Kyle Davidson and the Blackhawks parted ways with former Vice President of Amateur Scouting Mark Kelley and Assistant GM Ryan Stewart on Friday, marking the first moves that Davidson has made to his front office since taking over officially on Tuesday. Kelley and Stewart were long-tenured members of the organization, having spent the last 15 years with the Blackhawks.

• Ben Pope of the Chicago received confirmation from the Blackhawks that the two long-time execs were dismissed today and reported that Mike Donaghey would oversee the Hawks’ amateur scouting on an interim basis and the Hawks’ pro scouts will report directly to Kyle Davidson.
• The Blackhawks are in desperate need of an infusion of young talent. The acquisition phase should start with the impending trade deadline:

• Kevin Lankinen will be in the net for the Blackhawks today as Derek King gives Marc-André Fleury a day off on the front half of a back-to-back.
Kevin Lankinen starting today for Blackhawks as expected, Derek King says. Rest of the lineup stays the same as Thursday, so Borgstrom and Gustafsson remain scratched.

• I’m going to keep today’s bullets brief because I’ve got a Pre-Gamin’ to do before the Blackhawks try to snap that ugly losing streak at 2:00. For those heading to the game this afternoon, the United Center updated their COVID-19 policies this week:
