After last night’s 8-3 win over the Anaheim Ducks, Patrick Kane shared a little anecdote: Apparently, on Saturday night, Kane texted former teammate Nick Schmaltz after Schmaltz set a new Coyotes franchise record, scoring a whopping seven points on two goals and five assists. Kane’s message? He would like to have a night like that, himself. Well, Kane didn’t quite match Schmaltz’s seven points on Tuesday night, but he came pretty darn close with six points total, marking a new career-high.
Kane, who has been red-hot of late (15 points in his last six games), scored a first-period goal and recorded five primary assists against the Ducks on Tuesday night. Kane’s sixth and final assist helped Dylan Strome record his second hat trick of the season (first came Jan. 26 vs. DET).
But let’s start from the top and watch all of Patrick Kane’s six points tonight.

It’s not often we get to see a player as accomplished as Patrick Kane do something that we haven’t seen from him before, so last night was an awesome treat for Blackhawks fans. And a great moment for Kane.
