This week, the Blackhawks hit the road with back-to-back 9:00 pucks drops in California with the Ducks and Kings before wrapping things up with a Saturday afternoon visit to Sin City. With 19 games left this season, it’s time for the Blackhawks to take stock of their post-trade deadline roster. If you’re still watching along, pay close attention to players like Dylan Strome, Taylor Raddysh, Boris Katchouk, and the glut of defenseman down in Rockford that should get some run down the stretch.
I hope you’ve got your coffee ready for the next two nights; you’ll need it. I know I’ll need it!

One-Timers
• Dylan Strome is still in the Blackhawks’ plans for the time being after a red-hot two months. But, Strome’s future isn’t yet clear, and staying hot and finishing this season strong will be necessary for Strome and the Blackhawks. Strome has 25 points in his last 24 games (14 goals, 11 assists) and is shooting a sizzling 24.1 percent in that span.
• Patrick Kane’s recent scoring wave has him at 71 points, marking his 10th season with 70-plus points. Kane has logged 70-plus points in six of the last seven seasons, missing that threshold by four points last year in the shortened (56 games) season.
• The Blackhawks have had the Ducks’ number this season (including an 8-3 thrashing at the United Center earlier this month), but Anaheim is a tough team to beat on the road even though they too had a sizeable veteran sell-off at the trade deadline.
• Kevin Lankinen is expected to get the lion’s share of starts in these final 19 games of the season before he becomes a UFA after the season. Lankinen has struggled much of the season with a 3.51 GAA in 15 starts, but he looked strong in a losing effort against the Minnesota Wild on Saturday afternoon.
