Regula has logged 25 points with the IceHogs this season with four goals and 21 assists in 40 contests with Rockford. Regula ranks fifth among AHL rookie defensemen this season according to Blackhawks media relations.
In six games with the Blackhawks this season, the former third-rounder has yet to record a point. Derek King said on Monday that Caleb Jones would re-join the lineup after being a healthy scratch on Sunday night against Dallas, but didn’t know yet who would be coming out for Jones. Whether or not Regula plays tonight against the Kings is unknown, but if he does, two defensemen that were in the lineup on Sunday would have to come out of the lineup to make room for Jones and Regula.
