On Thursday night, Kirby Dach missed the final 17:35 of regulation in Chicago’s shootout victory over the San Jose Sharks and was not on the ice for practice this morning at Fifth Third Arena. According to the team, Dach is dealing with a right shoulder sprain.
Jonathan Toews was also absent from practice today, with the captain taking a maintenance day after the late finish last night and a road game in Nashville tomorrow.

Dach has struggled this season to the tune of just 26 points in 70 games but turned in a solid game on Sunday night against Dallas when he scored a goal and logged an assist. We’ll update when we hear more on Dach’s status from Derek King after practice wraps up.
Also spotted this morning was Connor Murphy who is wearing a white non-contact jersey during today’s practice. Murphy has been in concussion protocol since early March and Derek King said as recently as last weekend that there was no change in his status.
